Battery Backups for California Wildfire and PSPS Season
You’re halfway through making dinner, and suddenly everything goes quiet. The lights go out. Your TV show goes dark. And
Wi-Fi networks are convenient for many homeowners, but they don’t always deliver the best internet experience—especially for small business owners. Weak signals, spotty connections, and latency issues are common with Wi-Fi, and they can be frustrating if you work from home, stream movies, play online games, or rely on a fast, stable, high-performance internet connection.
Fortunately, there’s an easy solution: Let the professionals at Alpha Omega Electric install the Ethernet wiring you need for a hardwired, problem-free internet connection.
Some homeowners turn to low-quality installers or try a DIY approach to Ethernet wiring, but that usually leads to more frustration than results. Instead of getting a stable, reliable connection, they often run into the same issues that pushed them toward Ethernet in the first place.
That’s not a concern when you work with the professionals at Alpha Omega Electric. Our trained technicians focus on Ethernet installations and deliver clean, hassle-free setups that let you browse, stream, or game without interruptions.

Our Santa Cruz office is just minutes from Capitola, and our licensed C-10 electricians run clean, reliable ethernet and data wiring across the town. In a seaside town of cottages, condos, and vacation rentals, Wi-Fi alone rarely covers a place well and outdoor cable has to survive the salt air, so for a dependable connection we bring the network onto wire. We plan the drops, pull the cable, terminate it properly, test every line, and leave the runs neat and concealed.
We look at how your place is built and how you use it, tell you plainly what it needs, and do the work to a professional standard, because a network is only as good as the cabling behind it. In a cottage or a condo by the water, a wired network delivers the steady connection Wi-Fi alone cannot.
Capitola is a seaside town of older beach cottages, condos, and a lively village, with many homes run as vacation rentals right by the water. The older cottages have framing that takes care to wire cleanly, condos mean working within a shared building, and a rental needs internet solid and simple enough for a steady stream of guests. Near the water, any outdoor run has to resist the salt air.
Getting cable to the right rooms, in a cottage or a condo, and a connection people can count on, is the job, and that is what we plan for.
We install Cat6 and Cat6a ethernet drops to the rooms that matter, wire access points back so coverage reaches the whole place, and use outdoor-rated, corrosion-resistant cable for runs exposed to the coast. In a condo we work out the cleanest route within the building, and for a rental we set up reliable, simple coverage for guests. We can put security cameras, smart-home hubs, and TVs on their own dedicated drops.
In an older cottage we find the least invasive route and patch cleanly, and we install a tidy network panel where it all terminates. We certify and test every run, conceal the cable, and leave the panel labeled. Before we start, we walk the property with you to map where the drops and access points should go, so the plan fits how you actually live and work. We use Cat6 or Cat6a so the wiring is ready for the fastest internet for years to come, and every drop is terminated to standard and labeled. And if you add a camera, an access point, or another room later, the groundwork is already there to extend it easily. Wi-Fi still has its place for phones and tablets, and a well-placed set of wired access points is what makes it fast; we set both up to work together so the whole home is covered.
Capitola is a short drive for our Santa Cruz team, and a wired network in a seaside town is the kind of work you want done by people who know its cottages and condos. Being close means we are here when you add to it later. We build our name one job at a time, so every Capitola network we wire gets our full attention, cottages and condos alike.
