Mount Hermon offers the best of serene living—natural beauty, a tight-knit community, and a relaxed pace. But no matter how peaceful it feels, home security is still essential. As break-ins become more sophisticated, your protection needs to keep up. That’s why a dependable security system isn’t just a nice extra—it’s a must-have.
Protecting your home and family starts with understanding the value of smart surveillance. At Alpha Omega Electric, we provide top-tier home security systems designed with Mount Hermon homeowners in mind. You’ll get advanced features, custom-fit setups, and the peace of mind that comes with knowing your home is secure.
Our Scotts Valley office is just down Mount Hermon Road, which makes us about as local as a surveillance installer gets for this community, and the same licensed electricians who wire these homes install and set up their camera systems. That matters in the redwoods, because a surveillance system is only as good as the wiring, network, and placement behind it, and a wooded property tests all three. We design, install, and support camera systems built for life under the trees. Being right down the road, we can be over quickly to plan and install a system and back again to tune it, which not every installer will do this far into the forest.
We plan each system around your property and your concerns, install it cleanly, and make sure the footage is there when you need it.
Mount Hermon is a small enclave of older homes in the forest, many of them retreat or part-time houses, set back on wooded lots where the buildings are spread out and the nights are truly dark. Watching a place like that is its own job. The trees block wireless signal and moonlight alike, wildlife moves through at night, and an owner who is away much of the time wants to look in from a distance without a sprawling system to manage. Add the storms that take the power out, and reliability matters as much as coverage.
The best setup here is one that covers what matters, keeps working under the canopy, and stays simple. We build it around the property and the way you actually use it. Get that right, and a remote home feels far more secure; overbuild it, and you spend your time managing cameras instead of enjoying the place.
Approaches and reliability come first. We install a camera on the driveway and approach so you see anyone coming long before they reach a home set back in the trees, and we run wired connections and the equipment needed to carry camera feeds reliably from spread-out buildings back to the recorder. Under a canopy that blocks the moonlight, we choose cameras with strong low-light performance so they still capture a clear image after dark. The dark under a redwood canopy defeats ordinary cameras, so we choose gear made to see in it.
We tune the detection so deer and raccoons do not set off constant false alerts, and for the many part-time homes here, we set up remote viewing so you can check the cabin from anywhere. For owners who want something simple, we keep it to a few well-placed cameras that cover the approaches without a big, complicated system. For a retreat, simple and reliable beats elaborate and fragile every time.
Every installation is done by licensed electricians and built to keep working.
Mount Hermon is a close, wooded community, and being right down the road means we know it well. A camera system needs the occasional tune-up, and we are here for it. We build our name one job at a time, so every Mount Hermon home we protect gets our full attention, up the wooded roads and along the quiet lanes.
With break-ins and package thefts on the rise, a dependable home security system is no longer optional—it’s a must. Homeowners need reliable protection that covers their property and loved ones, 24/7. A well-planned surveillance system offers just that, giving you around-the-clock monitoring and peace of mind.
Today’s security tech makes all the difference. With features like motion alerts, night vision, and remote access, you can stay informed and take action quickly—no matter where you are.
And the benefits go beyond your front door. A visible surveillance system can help prevent crime in your area, contributing to a safer, more secure community for everyone.

At Alpha Omega Electric, we know great home security begins with understanding your space and your priorities. That’s why our approach is simple, customized, and built to give you lasting peace of mind.
We begin with a one-on-one consultation to talk through your goals, concerns, and what you want from your system. Then we walk your property, evaluating layout, lighting, and key entry points to pinpoint the best camera placements. From there, we recommend the right equipment and custom setup to make sure your home is fully and efficiently protected.
At Alpha Omega Electric, we know that no two homes are alike—and neither are their security needs. That’s why we build custom systems tailored to your lifestyle, whether you’re in a small apartment or a large home. Our setups work seamlessly with smart devices like Google Nest and Wyze Cam, giving you added control and convenience from your phone or tablet.
We’re focused on total coverage, without the blind spots. That means strategically placing cameras based on your layout, key access points, and lighting patterns throughout the day. A video doorbell watches over your front entry, backyard cameras help deter unwanted visitors, and driveway cams keep an eye on vehicles. We also secure overlooked areas like side gates and hidden entryways.
By designing each system around your space and placing cameras where they’ll have the most impact, we ensure your home is protected from every angle—so you can feel confident, inside and out.
At Alpha Omega Electric, we know that even the smartest security system is only as good as its installation. That’s why our certified technicians take care of every detail—making sure your system is set up right and ready to go from day one.
We also value your time and space. Our crew works quickly, keeps disruptions to a minimum, and leaves your home spotless when the job’s done.
From the first consultation to the final walkthrough, we keep the process clear and hassle-free. We’ll walk you through how everything works, answer all your questions, and make sure you feel completely confident with your new system. Our goal? A smooth experience and total peace of mind.
