Felton has that peaceful, coastal charm—scenic beauty, a strong sense of community, and a laid-back vibe. But even in a place this welcoming, home security still matters. As break-in tactics evolve, your protection has to stay one step ahead. These days, a reliable home security system isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity.
Protecting your home and family starts with understanding the value of smart surveillance. At Alpha Omega Electric, we provide top-tier home security systems designed with Felton homeowners in mind. You’ll get advanced features, custom-fit setups, and the peace of mind that comes with knowing your home is secure.
Our Scotts Valley office is a short drive from Felton, over by way of Mount Hermon and Graham Hill Roads, and the same licensed electricians who wire these homes install and set up their camera systems. That matters on a rural property, because a surveillance system is only as good as the wiring, network, and placement behind it. From the river flats to the wooded canyons, we design, install, and support camera systems built for the San Lorenzo Valley. Being close, we can be over to plan a system, install it, and return to tune it, without treating a valley job as a long haul.
We plan each system around your property and your concerns, install it cleanly, and make sure the footage is there when you need it.
Felton is a redwood town on the San Lorenzo River, a place of older cabins now lived in full-time, spread across wooded lots with outbuildings, wells, and long driveways. It is also a town that lives with wildfire risk and winter flooding. All of that shapes the camera work here. A rustic cabin needs cameras mounted with care, the outbuildings and the well house are worth watching, the river-prone areas need the gear kept high and dry, and parts of a big lot have no power at all. Between the fire risk, the floods, and the distance from help, a Felton owner has a lot they want to keep an eye on.
A couple of cameras by the front door do not cover a property like this. We design coverage that reaches the outbuildings and the far corners and that keeps working where power and conditions are against it. On a rural property, the cameras that matter most are often the ones watching the places you cannot see from the house.
We start with the whole property. On an older cabin we mount cameras carefully so they go up without tearing into the wood siding, and we cover the well house, pump house, and outbuildings as their own zones rather than an afterthought. Near the river, we keep the cameras trained on the low areas while placing the recorder up high, safe from a rising winter flow. Losing the recorder to the river means losing all the footage, so we keep it high and dry.
We pair cameras with motion-activated lighting so a dark rural lot is both lit and recorded the moment something crosses it, and for the reaches of the property with no power, we install solar and battery cameras that run on their own. In fire season, remote access lets you check the property and its approaches from your phone, even after you have left. It is not a substitute for official alerts, but seeing your own land in real time gives you a head start when conditions turn.
Every installation is done by licensed electricians and built to keep working.
Our team works the San Lorenzo Valley every day, and Felton is at the front door of it. A camera system needs the occasional tune-up, and being close means we are here for it. We build our name one job at a time, so every Felton home we protect gets our full attention.
With break-ins and package thefts on the rise, a dependable home security system is no longer optional—it’s a must. Homeowners need reliable protection that covers their property and loved ones, 24/7. A well-planned surveillance system offers just that, giving you around-the-clock monitoring and peace of mind.
Today’s security tech makes all the difference. With features like motion alerts, night vision, and remote access, you can stay informed and take action quickly—no matter where you are.
And the benefits go beyond your front door. A visible surveillance system can help prevent crime in your area, contributing to a safer, more secure community for everyone.

At Alpha Omega Electric, we believe that effective home security starts with understanding your space and what matters most to you. That’s why our process is straightforward, personalized, and focused on delivering real peace of mind.
We begin with a one-on-one consultation to talk through your goals, concerns, and what you want from your system. Then we walk your property, evaluating layout, lighting, and key entry points to pinpoint the best camera placements. From there, we recommend the right equipment and custom setup to make sure your home is fully and efficiently protected.
At Alpha Omega Electric, we understand that every home is different—and so are its security needs. That’s why we create custom systems designed to match your lifestyle, whether you’re in a cozy apartment or a sprawling estate. Our setups also integrate smoothly with smart devices like Google Nest and Wyze Cam, giving you more control and convenience right from your phone.
We’re focused on total coverage, without the blind spots. That means strategically placing cameras based on your layout, key access points, and lighting patterns throughout the day. A video doorbell watches over your front entry, backyard cameras help deter unwanted visitors, and driveway cams keep an eye on vehicles. We also secure overlooked areas like side gates and hidden entryways.
By designing each system around your space and placing cameras where they’ll have the most impact, we ensure your home is protected from every angle—so you can feel confident, inside and out.
At Alpha Omega Electric, we know that even the most advanced security system needs expert installation to perform at its best. That’s why our certified technicians handle every detail with care, ensuring your system is up and running smoothly from day one.
We also respect your time and space. Our team works efficiently, minimizes disruption, and always leaves your home just as we found it—clean and orderly.
From your initial consultation to the final walkthrough, we keep things simple and stress-free. We’ll answer your questions, show you how everything works, and make sure you feel confident using your system. Our goal is to make the process seamless and leave you with the peace of mind you deserve.
